This is a reminder to all that we will be having a light refreshment after service today to commemorate the 29th Anniversary of our setting foot here in Jurong since 1976.  There is certainly much for us to thank God for after these 29 years of blessings. Fire up for God!
We are very encouraged by the enthusiasm and evangelistic spirit of the members in Jurong. The first night of the gospel meeting last week saw an attendance of 17 visitors! The fruit of labour of especially our youth who challenged one another to bring a friend to the gospel meeting and also the many tracting sessions, headed by the youth and attended by many members. We thank bro Lawson Mayo for the powerful lessons preached. The seed of God’s word has indeed been sown in the hearts of all those who attended the gospel meeting.

Repainting
Repainting of the building has started.  Members are kindly reminded to be cautious when moving around the building.  Parents are reminded to mind your children and keep them by your side at all time. Members and visitors are advised to keep away from the equipment and tools around the building.

We welcome bro Lee Davis and his son, Chip, in our midst. Bro Lee is an instructor at 4-Seas College.  He and his family are planning to stay in S’pore for the rest of the year.  We look forward to serving God with them

Re-painting
We are going to carry out re-painting of the church building soon.   23 Members have indicated their preference on the colour chart put up since November 2004. Out of these, 13 of them which is 56.5%, have chosen Sunrise (Yellow) to be the main colour of the exterior walls of the building.  Painting work will begin soon. 

Tracting
Please be reminded that every 1st, 2nd and 5th Sundays of the month are designated for tracting.  Three cheers to the brethren who stay back regularly to do tracting.  You are our shining examples.
There will be a tracting session today at 1.30pm.  Let’s come together and make ourselves available to distribute tracts and calendars to the people of this neighbourhood. 

Benevolence
S$500 has been sent to bro James in Cambodia for the medical expense of his father who had an accident recently.
S$500 will be sent to bro Ravi of Nepal for his medical expense. Bro Ravi is suffering from cancer and needs to go for chemotherapy as well as radiotherapy.

Tsunami Relief Fund
A total of S$5420 and 3 carloads of clothes have been collected.  The clothes have been sent to the relief collection center.
S$4300 from Eng congregation will be sent to our brethren in Thailand to help 2 families whose head of the household have been killed and another 2 families whose breadwinner have been injured badly in the tragedy.
S$1088 from Ch congregation will be sent to Chennai to help the congregations there.
