WEDDING BELLS

Bro. Chi Leong and sis. Michelle have registered their marriage in Malaysia on the 29th November 2010. Let us rejoice with them on this special occasion .  Remember them in your prayers that their wedding plans will go smoothly and run as scheduled.  Congratulations!

Baptism  

We rejoice with the angels in heaven for Rowena and Kwaduo who rendered obedience to the gospel on the 28/11/10 and 29/11/12 respectively had their sins washed away in baptism.  We thank sis Ling for studying with Rowena and bro Eddy with Kojo.

We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to bro Lawson Mayo for conducting the gospel meeting for us. We are uplifted and our faith has been strengthened. Indeed the seed of God’s word has been sown and in due time, it will germinate in the hearts of men.

CNY Visitation

A big thank you to the Chee family for providing lunch, the Cheong family for providing dinner and the other families for opening up their homes to welcome our brethren. We had warm fellowship and fun visiting one another, collecting and giving of angpows as well as tasting the delicious new year goodies.

We rejoice with Olive from the Philippines, as she was added to the Lord's family at Jurong on 16/01/10.  We thank God for this humble soul who has obeyed the gospel.  Please pray for her spiritual growth and that she will be guided in her Christian life.  Let us get to know her better.

We rejoice with the angels in heaven for Robin Chan who rendered obedience to the gospel on 26/01/10 and had his sins washed away in baptism. We thank sis Kareen for bringing him to Christ. Do welcome him warmly into the family of God in Jurong. 

Point to Ponder

It is easy to trust God when we have not to hunt for money, but immediately the penny that is not there looms large, we allow the mosquito of worry to irritate our whole life away from rest in God.

Update on sis Linda Sim
Sis Linda would like to thank the church for praying for her. She has come out of the procedure safely. Although the result shows no improvement in her condition yet, she is taking it positively that at least her condition has not worsen. Please continue to pray that those who are treating her will find a cure for her and that she will be able to carry on her daily life without much difficulties. Pray the Lord will uphold her in her spirit and faith.

“Dear brethren, I’ll be hospitalized from 5-7 Jan for a repeat procedure to measure my heart’s pressure and resistance. This procedure is also the only measurable method to see if there’s any improvement in my condition.  Please pray that I’ll go through it safely as there are risks to the procedure. Pray that I’ll keep trusting in God and never give up hope. Thank you”
